Abstract

In this thesis, different projects on the modification of the oligonucleotide backbone have been shown. The first one involves chirality as a key point, gained by the substitution of an oxygen with a sulfur. The second one is about the substitution of the sugar backbone typical of nucleic acid strands with a peptidic bond. Whereas the third one illustrates how powerful the conjugation of small molecules to oligonucleotide strands could be.
